Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN), which manages several popular channels, including the children’s channel Nickelodeon, and the company Parques Reunidos will work together to develop children’s theme parks in Europe: the first such Park will open in Spain in 2017. The parties have successfully cooperated for several years already: one Park they opened in Madrid, and the second, NickLand in Movie Park in Germany.
According to Gerald Raines, Vice President of VIMN, the company’s goal is to “Nickelodeon was everywhere where there are children. We are pleased to diversify our portfolio and move brands and Nickelodeon characters in real life by means of new family entertainment centers,” – said a top Manager.
In the framework of the expansion strategy of Parques Reunidos owns 55 theme and family amusement parks in the world, whose number of visitors is 22.2 million in 12 countries of Europe and South America. Port Aventura is the largest amusement Park in Spain and part of a popular resort. Located in the heart of Tarragona, a 10-minute drive from Salou. The sixth most visited amusement Park in Europe, for a year it receives more than three million tourists.
PortAventura opened in 1995. Today is a theme Park with many rides, a water Park, several Golf courses and a huge lake in General, more than one million square meters. Amusement parks in the twentieth century has been a favorite place for a nice family vacation. However, as time goes on, in place of these parks came in other bright, technologically advanced, with new idols for children. “The old guard” was simply not able to compete with them. 1. Six Flags, New Orleans, USA
Amusement Park Six Flags (Six Flags), located in New Orleans, was deserted in 2005 due to the infamous hurricane Katrina almost completely destroyed this city.
